Public Forum: Regional Habitat Management and Fire Safety

March 11, 2008 from 1 - 3 PM SANDAG will be hosting a public forum with community leaders and safety officials on fire management and fire safety.

Join your community leaders and fire safety officials at a public forum to discuss how the region can accommodate fire safety where native habitat interfaces with urban development.
forum participants will:

• Discuss the lessons learned from the 2003 • and 2007 wildfires from a panel of expert fire science and fire safety officials.
• Learn about effective ways to minimize fire • risk along the urban interface with native habitat.
• Learn about pending legislation to address • wildland fire safety in Southern California.
• Discuss ways to promote fire safety in an • environmentally sensitive manner.
